Casement WINDOWS
Product Overview
Impact Casement windows are hinged on the side and are opened outward by cranking a handle. They are designed to maximize ventilation as the fresh breeze will bounce off the window and towards your interior.
Of course, maximizing ventilation is the last thing you want during a strong storm. So before the storm hits, crank your impact casement windows shut and batten down the hatches.
The hurricane impact glass on our custom impact casement windows is made of high-quality tempered glass, which is four times stronger than regular glass. A layer of polyvinyl butyral, or PVB, is sandwiched in between two separate panes, giving the window flexibility and strength. In addition, should the glass be punctured, the PVB will ensure the glass does not shatter into many pieces. This is a feature similar to automobile glass.
